Angelique Adams

Dr. Angelique Adams is an engineer, entrepreneur, and educator who helps scientists and engineers develop the leadership and communication capabilities needed to turn technical expertise into impact. Before transitioning to entrepreneurship and academia, Angelique spent more than 20 years in industry, including serving as Director of Technology Development at Alcoa and Chief Innovation Officer at Aperam. Today, she is CEO of Angelique Adams Media Solutions and Founding Director of the Leadership in Engineering & Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She provides one on one consulting to fellows, including in-person and virtual offices hours to provide guidance on business operations (i.e., hiring, performance reviews, effective leadership, personal productivity, organizational skills, presenting to executives, sales model, etc.). Adams lives in Knoxville with her husband and two children. She serves on the board of several local nonprofits and volunteers her time to mentor entrepreneurs. She holds a doctorate from Penn State and an MBA from MIT.
